Been thinking about the speculation going around regarding the job status of RichRod and how motivated he will be for the bowl game and how this translates over to his team. Growing talks that he will definitely be let go after the bowl game, etc. Ran across an article today that said a clause in his contract called for a 1.5 million deduction that Michigan would have to pay if he were let go after 12/31/10. Translation.....fired before 12/31, Michigan would have to pony up 1.5 million more than if they wait until 1/1.

I guess technically they could fire him before the game started on 1/1. Team runs onto field, AD waiting on the sidelines at the 50 with a pink slip. Ouch. </p>
