was great. Just proud of the team. They easily could have quit at probably 10 points in the season but they are still battling.

Obviously because of our less than stellar performance over the year, TV hasn't provided us many opportunities to see interviews with Ray to get a personal perception of him. I must say that last interview sent out good signals of how great he is personally and professionally.

Seems like he knows how to build a team that will actually play as one.

Please God, could you allow him to be a great recruiter too? Preciate it.

Great recruiting can only take you so far...ie: 2000- I will take mediocre recruiting with a chance to make a 3* a 5* in two years over what we used to have... all day everyday.

Amen.

Is there a link yet where I can watch the interview? How long, or will it, be put on the Hailstate TV app? Or did you guys all watch it on TV after the game? Not at home so just curious.

Hear, hear! Proud of the bullies. And for once we have talent coming back

and I will not be waiting for the other shoe to drop in the off season (players leaving, fighting, etc). Officially excited about the future.

Agreed

Yes this year has sucked, but with what he has had to deal with it is pretty impressive with the way he has closed out

No ********, I had conversations with, Dampier, Wilson, D Jones, W Hughes, B Hyche, R Walters, Q Smith while in college . BS'd with Winsome, Gholar, and DZ all the time playing spades. But this may be my favorite 8 players for MSU basketball of all time despite never meeting them because, they just F'N play their guts out.

I hooped it in the summer with Walter Wright and that group. I like the way this team and Ray have stuck it to the naysayers (mostly our fan base) the past few games.

I could have done without his excessive praise of UT...

...I don't like MSU coaches acting as media publicists for other SEC programs. That's exactly what Ray did for UT. Pretty much said it would devastate him to beat UT & knock them out of the Big Dance. (Due to his emotional bond with the UT coach, or some such nonsense). Word to Ray: 17 UT. If you think UT people would ever go on TV & kiss MSU arse, then you've got a lot to learn about the cut throat nature of this league.

I think he was basically saying he would hate to knock his buddy out of the tournament in a nice way.

Cuonzo Martin was on TV two weeks ago heaping praise on Rick Ray ... so Rick returned the favor Wednesday night

Congrats to the Dogs and our coach on a great win tonight

Yeah because no one likes a guy who ...

is actually nice about wanting to beat your ***. Maybe he should have not referred to UT by name and instead called them the school way up north. Would that make you think he is somehow a better coach? It would have been awesome for him to be a prick about UT with our 10 win team. He could have talked about winning the SEC tourney and the dance as well.

Jeez

Well he's not getting paid NOT to talk up Tennessee either. In the end I know he would rather win the game than lose for his friend's sake, so I don't have a problem with it.

Again, digest it or not, we will win a conference title in basketball before we win one in football.

You think? I mean, we've only won 6 since the last and only football title.

I took the UT praise as Ray saying, "I am sorry we have to beat your *** tomorrow, Cuonzo. And I know someone will say he brought up attrition too much. One thing I really like about Ray is how he answers questions. He doesn't change the subject or beat around the bush. He answers the question asked and has all year. I like that. He's also doing PR work for our program when he brings it up.
