I have watched several games over the last few days and they look pretty good. It's not a easy 1st round game. Good mix of run and pass and some speed. Have also heard they have improved every week.

They have played a pretty tough schedule. ..beat honaker last week...better not be looking ahead
Can't be looking ahead to glenvar...and their first round may be a little easier but I wouldn't sleep on them either...some of these records are a bit deceptive...these teams have played some stiff competition...
definately wouldn't sleep on Virginia High. Richlands almost did and found themselves down 17-0.
Yeah was telling a buddy today...ridgeview and Virginia high are good teams....Giles and glenvar better pull the chin straps tight

I remember going to Battle a few years ago thinking it would be a cakewalk and getting thumped. One of their long time fans I talked to after the game said it was their best game all year. Gotta be ready for every game and stay healthy to have a chance to get to Salem, along with some luck.
We absolutely were. Va High has one helluva wide receiver in Sewell. Up until that point, he had been the out receiver. When they played us, they moved him into the slot to try and take us off guard. It worked for 13 minutes. Then our defense figured out how to stop him and they didn't have more than 50 yards the rest of the game. But they had us a little worried in the first quarter.
Yep. Ended up winning 55-20. Talk about a turnaround. Didn't mean to start a Richlands chat in this thread. Just wanted to reiterate what ghs89er said, that you can't sleep on VH.
