$1.7 mil a year and $3.5 for getting fired. I would say he had a pretty good season.
Remember what a big deal they made when they hired Riley? It’s not hard to see that whatever success Clemson has had in the past is the direct result of their Coordinators, not Sweeney.
Riley is the sacrificial lamb, like Shula. I'm sure whoever Dabo hires, the Clemson faithful will claim he is a great hire, like SC fans and Briles.

Wrong Riley? I assume you're thinking of Lincoln Riley, who is currently the head coach at USC-W.
No, it was Garrett. He was the golden boy at TCU when they made it to the championship game. Dabo and pretty much everyone around here thought he had made a home run hire.
And now we are following that by hiring the OC from TCU.

Yep. He was THE guy when we got Loggains.. they spent the money and we didn't. That's why everyone needs to pump the brakes on just dishing out for the hot name OC. It literally doesn't change anything if the head coach dominates overall philosophy and game management.
Except we're the ones that dished out for the hit name OC this time. So dont jinx it.
