Tremendous option QB. If you didn't get to see Dowis play, you missed something special. Gone way too young.

Sad to hear this. He was so fun to watch. Serious quickness and great decision-making as an option QB.

SHOCKING!! I remember Dowis and Gerry Gdowski running (and throwing) neck and neck in 1989 to see who would be the first to run and throw for 1000 yards. Gdowski threw for well over 1000 yards but fell just short of 1000 yd's rushing. Great players. Gdowski, one of my favorite all-time Husker QB's.

Living in Colorado Springs, it has been a big deal here. Really tragic. From everything that has been said, he was an even better person than football player, which is saying a lot.
