I hope this doesn't change anything for FedEx in Memphis. The city would have ZERO industry left if FedEx left.

On a lighter note, I wonder how much he left the UofMemphis? Maybe they can fill in the gapping hole they created in their prime seats at the Liberty bowl.

It’s been changing since he stepped aside. I don’t think the new guy is good for Memphis. He’s currently laying off a bunch of people due to losing business.

The company I order our cameras from for our Skycams ships them FedEx two day shipping. I think they've made the initial promised delivery date twice out of probably 12 orders. And one delivery I accused of them of routing my delivery through an active war zone judging from the condition of the box.

A year or so ago, he gave the U. of Memphis NIL fund.....$20 Million. My guess is his estate will give them a whole lot more than that.

I guess everyone knows this, but Mississippi played a big part in Fred's success, with his right hand man and COO early in the expansion stages at FedEx, Jim Barksdale. That was before Barksdale did the whole Netscape thing.
