Always loved the way that guy seemed to play like it was a game. He was always having fun! That joke was no different than any other time. It was not intended to be anything but funny. Stereotypes are there for a reason, deal with it and I am a resident Democrat.
He was always the entertainer and loved making people laugh. I wished I could play any game the way he did. Intensity to be good but nonchalant and having fun the whole time.

How’s that for a sermon?

Fuzzy was a good man in every way. he did love to joke and interact with the gallery. Clutch golfer too. Didn't he once say making a $100K+ putt wasn't pressure, but making a $25 bet on a putt with your friends and only have $2 in your back pocket WAS pressure. 74 was kind of young for a golfer to die. Wonder what happened? He did smoke like a chimney and had been known to throw back a few with his friends....probably something to do with it.

Man, haven't thought about the Fuzz in a long time. Met him a couple of times. He's what you'd expect. Really good dude.

RIP indeed ...

You are awfully rational for a Democrat. You sure you are one? 😆 Good take on Fuzzy, I agree.

I think the putt bet with your buddy’s and you’re short the cash was Lee Trevino. Also, I always hated the way Tiger Woods didn’t try to bail out Fuzzy when he joked about the next year‘s Master’s dinner. Fried chicken and such. I expect no malice intended by Fuzzy. Just Fuzzy being Fuzzy. Tiger’s silence was deafening!

That's cause Tiger's ultimately a prick and Fuzzy wasn't. It's ok. Being a prick often goes with great success in competitive sports if you have the other qualities that matter.
