Check out Loose Cannons if you get a chance. RIP Gene, you are a legend.

First saw Hackman in The French Connection. He won an academy award for that. He was a great actor even in weak movies. I never watched him in a film that I thought he was bad.

Did y’all know his roommate, as a struggling actor was Dustin Hoffman? Can you imagine these guys running lines as struggling actors?

Hoosiers, young Frankenstein cameo, and enemy of the state, and absolute power are my favorites

I have never been one who paid a lot of attention to actors but I have always admired Hackman. Not only was he good at what he did he also tended to do his job and refrain from running his mouth about politics and everything else that actors seem to think we should care what they have to say.

Favorite role was Norman Dale in Hoosiers.

Interestingly, he was on Nixon's Enemy List

No idea how it holds up, but Loose Cannons with Dan Akroyd is one of my childhood favorites of his.
