Nope, got the news all in one day that they had won the World Series in 4 straight over Oakland. Had to get it from the Stars and Stripes news paper about a week later sitting in the middle of the Saudi Desert. Bummer, would have loved to had seen it at least on the tube.

GD. Cubs win one World Series over 108 years and fans get all uppity. The Reds do suck, but we’ll see if they go an entire century winning nothing. Cubs set the bar pretty low.

There is this thing called loyalty. Any Cubs fan should get that. I love Chicago, but not the Cubs, I’ll stick with the Reds. And Rockies, two of the worst teams in baseball this past season. In a 15 year period between 18 and 33 for me I watched the Reds win 3 WS. It’s kind of like getting married.
