30 years ago one’s faith guided his morals, ideals, values, and hope for the future.
No longer; one’s political affiliation dictates that now. We should think about that.

In a lot of ways that's true and it's scary. But I don't think it's all-encompassing. There's still a segment of conservatism that's driven by evangelical faith and a segment of liberalism that's driven by faith in the virtues of a utopian world view. In the good old days, we could all respect each other and enjoy civil debate. What we have now are echo chambers and sheep mentality. I guess we have 24 hour news media and social media to thank for it.

Sorry he passed but a great american, not even close! IMO he feed the far right more opinionated bs in order to keep the hate of the left going.

Real odd to see some of you guys get your feelings hurt over a downvote, especially considering how most of you post constantly about snowflakes getting their feelings hurt.

Really odd that you think anyone's feelings are hurt. It's actually a helpful reminder that douchebags live among us.

I listened to Rush mid-90's a little and thought he made some sense. He was, however, always grandiose and it was difficult to listen to some of his self-aggrandizing schtick. I was either blind to it then because of naivety, or he became nothing more than an extreme right political puppet.
