Here’s an idea, don’t bring up politics. The guy died, just leave it be. ITS NOT 17ING HARD.
In fairness, you are the first one to use the word politics in this thread.
You could tell he lived many of his songs. I loved to hear the stories behind the songs.
I didn’t even know he was sick. I wish I didn’t know now what I didn’t know then. Toby Keith had a really great, possibly even underrated, musical career.
I don’t know if “How Do You Like Me Now?” was autobiographical or not but I always liked it because he was giving the middle finger to whoever didn’t believe he would make it.
Toby Keith was very outspoken about his politics and I didn't see much in that thread that stated any more than that. It may have eventually gone off the rails, but up to that point, it hadn't. Little early with the lock there.

This was a shocker. I wasn't keeping up with 2020's Toby Keith, but I sure didn't know he was on death's door.
He made fun music, silly music, and a lot of just plain good music. I feel sure I'd have enjoyed the hell out of having a beer with him.
