either detected or undetected from birth. No reason for a dog that age (even the typically short lived Bulldog) to die that early, particularly with the degree of care that dog presumably had.

Heart problems. UGA VI died from heart problems, too. Seems to be a bad gene in that bloodline.

But, it looks like his Daddy died after about 9 seasons of football. That's pretty typical for a bulldog. In fact, if he didn't serve as UGA in his first season, that's a good long life for a Bulldog.

a large male. But, the University was probably pretty interested in keeping his weight down and his health good. That didn't exactly work out.
