of whether he stays or he goes this is going to be a huge impact to Ole Miss recruiting. Even if he doesn't leave for this job it certainly appears he is looking to get out of Oxford.

I don't know if I want him to dump them or not. I was just getting used to having the guy around. He's crazy enough that I could love to hate him if we keep beating them.

It's funny that Chuck Roundsaville texted Nutt about this rumor and Nutt calls it a bunch of crap and then the next day the rumor is confirmed.

But now I'm hoping he goes. There are a lot of in state recruits that are waffling between us and Ole Miss. This type of move could really crush them in recruiting, and could really open it up for us to get a lot of the 4 stars in the state. This could end up being really good for us. There don't seem to be any big name coaches out there for Ole Miss to get, so that could also be a drawback for them.

Mullen has shown that he recruits hard and that he cares about the rivalry between the schools. Nutt hasn't had that kind of in-state competition and sees the writing on the wall. He'll leave to Kansas where he'll be top dog in recruiting in his state and there's no one to compete with. He's nuttless.

remaining recruits that we are going hard after. They could get someone exciting and change the recruiting picture right before signing day.

Is there anyone this year both MSU and Ole Miss are recruiting hard? Any good Ole Miss commits we want that might go our way now?

I think it is more Nutt will ***** himself out every year regardless of his situation. I have no doubt the Klan stuff and the arrival of Mullen have made things a bit tougher on him, but he'd be doing this **** regardless. This is what he's always done. Arkansas was his "dream job" and he did it to them, why would Mississippi be exempt?

the rumors of his unhappiness at Ole Miss keep swirling BUT he does indeed stay. The uncertainty of him staying at Ole Miss will definitely give us an edge in recruiting especially in state.

They just need to hire the next up and comer like Mullen......there's lots of guys who could bring excitement to the program and recruit with the best of 'em. Hiring a "Big Name" doesn't insure success.

He is a decent coach, but at least we know what we're up against. And we know our coach is better than their's. Now you have to be concerned they might get somebody better. Then again, maybe they'll pick up Franchonie(sp).

He's old as dirt and has a lot of sources in this area, so it wouldn't surprise me if that's the truth.

Though Johnson is rumored to be committing to MSU in the next week or so.

And I think we offered some LB commit to OM out of Georgia.

But pretty much every in state guy has us and Ole Miss in the mix. Bryon Bennett and Carlton Martin are probably the biggest OM lean right now in state. Carlos Thompson, Matthew Wells, and a few other 3 stars that are between us both.

Last year, didn't Nutt have some publicly-known, much-discussed, and somewhat cantankerous salary re-negotiation? I bet Nutt can quote the min, max, average, and mean salary of SEC coaches that have been to back-to-back mid-range bowl games.

With Nutt we know what we are up against. And I feel confident with that match up in the immediate future.

If they have to get a new coach, they could go up or down. Obviously they could do worse than Nutt, which would be great, but it's also possible for them to do better. We've seen how much a coach can impact a program in a short period of time. Whether it is Orgeron to Nutt or Croom to Mullen.

We know that he is not big on recruiting in-state guys. I would prefer him to continue with that trend and let us continue to recruit it really hard.
