Harris' TV interview during the UA AA practice confirmed as much. Harris was asked about who was recruiting him the hardest out of the players at the game. He said Bama commits have been pressing him really hard and that he is really close with several of Bama's commits. He was never prompted about UK and therefore didn't say anything about it. (Nor is there any UK commits there at the game)

I pray it's UK but Bama is very hard to turn down.

He mentioned the other day that he is the closest with the UK staff and players and liked that he would be so close to his Mom. I still think it will be UK.

recruiting dead period is never a bad thing for schools like Bama. There Commits at the UA game do the job for them. Gota say that i don't feel so good about Harris to UK. Then again he could be going with the flow of things.

It's not just the players that recruit for powers like Alabama at these all star games. Media, hanger-ons and some of the coaches push them towards the big time programs. Andrew Bone should get assistants pay from Alabama.

^DA's right, that's very, very true. Media types pimp the "name" schools hoping to get favors in coverage later. Just hope to get thru the weekend and back home.

Yeah except the pictures with a Baylor recruit too. Is he not allowed to have friends? Or is he gonna commit to Baylor too?

Is he at ua practice now. Don't need him around a bunch of Bama recruits getting to watch their team on new years day in playoffs. That would have to be an envy inducing sight.

I watched that too, and it bothered me. But when you consider there arent' any UK commits there, I guess it is to be expected.

Now I am glad he isn't committing until the 9th.

Well, they just lost again, and won't be playing for the title, so maybe those Bama commits can quit blowing smoke up his tailpipe about the invincibility of the Tide now. Kids headed to Bama aren't going to think anything but they have him going their way in the first place, unless he commits to UK in the middle of a UA practice session. That is why they are headed to Bama. They are drinking that front running Kool-Aid.

I guess since Bama lost Damien will now be seeking out Buck players to hang with. NOT! BBN bound.

He is committing to UK in a very public announcement like Elam did last year 1 week from today, and so many of you will look quite ignorant after he does so

Stay with us Damien. at Bama you will be a nameless player on the bench waiting for your chance to get in the game behind several stars ahead of you.
Nameless because the Bama players do not put their names on their jerseys. Those watching tv will not know who you are after 5 seconds.
At UK you will be a hero forever and you can be a part of developing UKs comeback we so desperately need.
EVen Bill Curry won at BAma. that is no challenge to your talent.
The water boy could gain 5 yards behind Bama OL.
What does it prove there?
Nothing.

I hope I am wrong , but if the problem is DH being close to his mom then that can be easily be taken care of...just ask Duke

still @rivalsmike[/B] who you got for Damien Harris?
How many UK players are at that game? May explain why they aren't working him the hardest...

As I posted in the chicken little thread about Harris being excited when a kid committed to Bammer, a kid at an all-star game is not going to change anything. Harris and his family have been working on this for years and a few days with some 18-19 year olds is not going to influence the decision - that apparently has already been made.
