Just my opinion. South Panola has Parker, their bellcow and I'm sure that they have an absolute freak show of talent as usual. Then Oak Grove has Hughes, McNair, and etc. It's going to be hard for a high school secondary to handle that.

MC does have Carlton Martin and Byron, but I'm not sure that it will be enough.

And then what about Olive Branch? A team with two D-I caliber o-linemen has to be considered.

I'll say this- if MC wins it, it will be well earned.

First off, let me say that I have no knowledge of any of the teams you mentioned.
But you're saying Madison Central is overrated because Oak Grove, South Panola and possibly Olive Branch are good too?

I don't have any idea whether or not MC is one of the best 20 high schools in the country.
I tend to doubt it, too,.

they return a ton of people that were a hair from the title game (and being the team that ended The Streak). Tobias Singleton is a freak.

Should be USP and MC in the North half finals aGAIN.

of course, parker wasn't full speed, but renfroe won that game for them. MC returns nearly everyone, i believe. now, #16 in the country may be overrated, but they wouldn't be overrated as #1 in the state.

like you say - there are some very good teams in the state this year. great timing for the cellularsouth tv games.

They should still win their district and make it to the North finals, but I don't think they'll be as good as last year.
