I mean, are they going to be any better than last year? Was it me or do that have zero depth on the OL or RBs. I just find it hard to believe that after laying it on them last year, they're all of a sudden going to beat us this year.

You have to think that with all the pre-season losses they had because of various reasons that they will be down this year. Sure, they could beat USC and probably coast into the SECCG, but the entire SEC East is going to be down this year.<div>
</div><div>We will know a lot about UGA after the Boise State game. Lets just hope they beat the Broncos so we don't have to hear all year from Boise State (and ESPN) about how much they deserve to be in the BCS game because of that "quality" win.</div>

Did ANYBODY watch our last game against Michigan? Did ANYBODY watch Georgia's last game against UCF? Now I know our game with them is in Athens and I know both teams will be somewhat different from last season but if you look at the direction both programs went last year I certainly wouldn't just jump out there and automatically have Georgia beating us.

I don't think we will lose any games outside of those 5, but UGA just doesn't scare me right now. They will start a freshman at RB, a sophomore at QB, and they don't have Green, just like last year.

I think this UGA team is less talented than the one we played against back in '06 when Henig was our QB. Only lost by 3 that year and should have at least tied if Croom hadn't punted when we had a shot at a 45 yard FG on the first possession. And I certainly think this team is more talented than the one we took in to Athens in '06. But a lot I think depends on the Boise and SC game. If they come out of there 0-2, I think we have them no doubt.

Last year we were sorta lucky to beat them. The big hit/fumble at the goal line changed the game. They would have been ahead and we would have been down. This year is at their house and will be close-either way.

They had Aub, UGA, and Arky as toss up type games.

LSU, Bama, and USC were definite losses.

OM, KY, UAB, LaTech were definite wins

Memphis and whoever the other game is I can't think of right now they laughed when the name came up.

For some reason Mullen can't even get competitive with Bama.

I would say that LSU in Starkville, especially after the problems they are facing, is a toss-up. USC, I'm not as confident about, but we have a chance. I would love to win in Little Rock, but that just never works out for us.

We'll have to play really bad football to lose to either Aub or UGA.

1) Its an easy, lazy call. That MSU is good and getting better is common knowledge. Its lazy to say that since we're a good, not elite, team in the SEC then we'll finish above .500 and go to a middle tier bowl.

2) It means someone (I'm looking at YOU, 2PLO4SHO) is being ultra conservative to remove any appearance of favoritism.

I agree that playing them without AJ Green was luck... but the forced fumble is part of the game. A game that we won fairly easily.

Geez he gets more terrible by the 17ing day. His outlook on us going 7-5 was that we play all of our more easily winnable games on the road (UK, UGA, and Auburn) while we play our more difficult ones at home (LSU, Bama, USC). His logic on that topic is ridiculous, and I come away after listening like that auditorium in Billy Madison after his "Puppy who lost his way" story, dumber for having listened to his show. It also seems like he's reading out of a newspaper the entire time. Saying, "Oh, I didnt know Petal and so and so are playing Friday." 20 seconds later "Oh, and Forrest Central is playing so and so...."

I'd much rather play the more difficult ones at home because we would have a chance to win them at home. LSU and Bama on road are difficult and more than likely 2 L's. On the flip side, UK, UGA, and Auburn are all winnable games on the road and almost lock W's at home. Would you rather have a chance in all 6 ball games or go ahead and concede 3 L's having to go on the road to Baton Rouge, Tuscaloosa, and Columbia?

Of those 6 games I say we come out 4-2 with losses to Bama and Georgia. Might be wishful thinking. Also throw in a loss at Ark and I see 9-3.

I would be more shocked at 6-6 than 8-4. I know everyone wants to lump UGA in the W column, but playing in Athens is not that easy.

7-5 is the safe call. Nobody can call you an idiot for calling us at 7-5. Go with the flock. Its safer that way.
