Rivals Ripping Off Customers

I haven't been a user of that board for years. However today I got a charge on my debit card for 99.95. I tried to talk to the call center in India to explain that I cancelled the subscription and that I no desire to be a part of this site. The young Indian woman refused to be of any assistance. Apparently once they've done this they will in no way refund your money. As far as my bank - the only thing I can do there is cancel my debit card which is a super hassel.

So here is the advice I give you. Never, Never give Rivals your debit card. Apparently once you do they can continue to put charges on it whenever they choose.

One Tip ...

Use a Credit Card NOT a Debit Card especially on the internets.

When you make a purchase with a credit card, there is a firewall between your bank account and the vendor. First, there is a federal law that provides protections unique to credit cards.

When you purchase something on your credit card, a bank issuing the credit card makes the payment to the vendor. You are obligated to pay the bank ONLY after you are in agreement that the charge is legit and that the item or service you bought was delivered as agreed.

But make a transaction with a debit card and the payment is immediately deducted from your bank account. And, while you have some protections, the $$ in dispute are ALREADY out of your checking account.

I've been getting an email for 6 months that "times running out to renew my membership"

I hope my time finally runs out soon and they'll quit spamming me. Never given them my cc info.
