Do i miss something?
The 2009 SEC tournament champions also return standout guard Barry Stewart, who averaged 12.9 points last season.

What makes Randy standout over Bost, Ravern, Turner... I think Randy is a great defender but he sure does brick a lot of shots...
Not that I really disagree that is he is a standout guard, but he is the only one that gets mentioned... are these media types just saying it cause he plays the 2

It is kind of odd to see "stand out" and Barry Stewart in the same sentence though. For the first time in memory at MSU, I just don't know if we will have enough minutes for everyone. I am guessing a starting line up of Bost, Stewart, Ravern, Augustus, and Varnado to start the year with Sidney, Turner, Osby, Bailey, and Benock/Beckham off the bench. That is a deep freaking team.

Sidney won't be coming off the bench

He will be the reverse of Kodi Augustus last year as far as playing time goes. He should be a starter and a beast by the time the SEC rolls around. I still hate the fact that Barry Stewart gets more PT than Phil Turner.

Any idea what role Riek will play next year? I'm guessing he won't be eligible but am not sure. Hopefully, he will be eligible and be able to step in and fill SWAT's role after he leaves.

I think Sidney will definitely start at some point but from a chemistry stand point it might be wise to give either Ravern or Augustus a chance to prove themselves early on. If Sidney comes in and is the super talent that he is supposed to be then he will start but with the team we already have there is no sense in throwing a freshman in there if he is not ready.
The ideal situation would be for Barry to come off the bench but that won't happen with him being a senior next year.

improves his defense and ball handling, I would start Phil over RJ. Ravern is great when his shot is falling but when its not he's a liability. But the point is Turner can get pretty hot from the outside himself plus he always defends and hustles. I would say my current favorites to start would be Bost, Stewart, Turner, Sidney and Varnado. To have guys possibly coming off the bench the caliber of RJ and KA is incredible for us.

next season I think he could have a huge year, due to our newfound inside game making teams collapse in. He is pretty automatic at draining the open 3s.

Sidney is the number 5 player in the nation according to scout, 7 according to ESPN...kids of those calibers start, not ride the pine.
