Damien Robinson, Matthew Wells, Robert Johnson, Asian Ruff, Nick Griffin & Jay Hughes are all MSU leans at this point.

Also, why does Rivals have Cox listed as committed to Mississippi but they don't have Rea committed to MSU? Cox is a UM basketball commit and Rea is a MSU baseball committ. Neither have committed to playing football anywhere. Even so, it's ridiculous that Cox is even on that list considering this is his first year to ever play HS football and by all reports he isn't all that great at it and has no plans to try and play in college.

I don't get that with Cox either. I'm pretty sure Scout doesn't have him listed for football anymore, and I know that our coaches have agreed to back off and let him play basketball, because that's what he wants to do, though they've said they'd be willing to keep the door open for him if he ever wants to try two sports. Still don't know why Rivals keeps him on the list.

last year, looking at the top talent in Miss. was loaded.....and im glad we got a lot of em.......but looking at this years 'cream' on video, i'm just not that impressed.....and what's even more intriguing to me is that the no 1 and no 2 on that list dont impress me at all.....I think people rank coleman that high because of his size only (i see donovon davis in him) and Sanders I think is a bit overrated and is just playing his cards right on the shirt tails of his predecessors......maybe im just freebasing cocaine though.....maybe im not....

Wasn't Coleman just barely in the top 20 when rankings first came out? Now he's the best prospect in the state?
Any list that has Cox on it, much less in the top 5, is bogus.
Wasn't Eulls one of the top prospects in the state (top two/three) in the last rankings?
I firmly believe that Rivals/Scout manipulate these rankings so that there are more uncommitted players toward the top to increase drama come signing day. See Alonzo Lawrence.

I agree with this for the most part except I don't think we take/get McNair Jr or Coleman.

this year's Mississippi class is just not that good. Not just becasue it is compared to last year's, but overall it is a weak class at best.

was making a big push for Coleman. I think Steve put it in his bones one night, and if you noticed Steve was the guy doing interviews w/ Coleman on Scout for a while. Thats usually a pretty fair indication of where they think a kid is headed.

Apparently Robinson's stock has really fallen. Sanders is an UM lean.

Rumors are Wells is headed to State, Thompson, to me, would be a HUGE get for MSU. I'm not real sure on where he's leaning, but I'm pretty sure State is in play. Carlton Martin is headed to UM.

Those are my predictions as of 11/4/09. They're based on mainly internet rumor and unsubstantiated talk, the best kind.

Wells play friday night. (Sorry if Germans) Someone from Lawrence County told me they expect Wells to commit soon. I wouldn't expect it though Lawrence county's coach Mike Davis is the biggest Ole Miss homer there is. He does all he can to push his players away from State.

the one thing I want to see change this year is for us to beat out legit programs for some top quality OL.... I'm tired of sucking hind tit in that area....
