They got a transfer from Liberty Christian. Hes a sophomore. 6’3, 320 has pretty quick feet for a big guy. Saw some highlights of some of his games last year he definitely has potential. They handed out equipment and he got Big Mikes shoulder pads so hes got some big shoes to fill wearing those. Guess we will see what kind of impact he will have in a few weeks.
@Gladiatorfencepatrol, is the big 8th grader that played JV last year moving up as well? I watched him wrestle last year and he is a beast on the mat too. His hands and feet are exceptional for his age.
There were 2 that really stood out in jv games I watched last year. The Wood kid and the Stokes kid which is Ridges younger brother. If you remember he was a beast against Sussex in the championship game a couple years ago so hopefully younger brother will be the same. They will both be freshman this year but with so many starters lost to graduation last year I wouldnt be surprised if both saw significant playing time on the varsity.
Yeah the Woods kid is the one that wrestles too. Both have size for sure and I would agree they could see some field time with the departure of several lineman to graduation.
