So is there a chance we get RJ Hampton, Hurt AND Watford on next year’s squad?
I'm thinking we land Hurt and RJ Hampton will reclassify to the 2019 class and join Tre Jones to form the best backcourt in the nation.

LOL WHUT. If we add RJ and Hurt to this class I will legitimately cry tears of joy. It could be glorious.
Yeah, and there's talk on insiders site about Cassius Stanley, a 6-5 shooting guard. Supposed to be pretty good. Who knows what's going on. Not to mention folks think we might get Hurt.Or frustating... lol
He was Duke 100% if Tre was leaving.I know he’s also considering uk, KU and Memphis and even though he said great things about Duke, he could also be talking about those other programs who may have an elite PG coming back as well.
I haven’t followed his recruiting, but those who have, is that about right?

With Tre back, some "guru's" are now saying Memphis is the pick. Obviously RJ's comments sound positive for Duke, but were not the lock we were a week ago.
I would go with thisMy only concern is this, we all know coach K only plays 7-8 max guys. So if Hurt and Hampton come and Bolden comes back. This team will have:
Tre, Goldwire, AOC, Baker, White, Javin Bolden Carey Moore Boogie Hurt and Hampton. What 8 man rotation will Coach K use.
Isn’t August kinda late?
No Bagley committed in August!Isn’t August kinda late?
And he contributed to chemistry issues. I wouldn't say no to Hampton because everyone is different, however it could hurt us next season. No Bagley committed in August!
Call me old school/crazy but this is one of those "believe in your team" moments. Tell the returning team you believe in them. Hurt should commit soon. Then tell RJ we'd love to have you next year if you choose that. But we have our team. This is who we go to war with. This has nothing to do with RJ, who is great. This is about the team we have and we recruited.
Agreed. You either want to come to Duke or you don't.Thanks but no thanks then. Summer is a bonding time for the team. Don’t come in that late
If RJ comes I wouldn’t say no either obviously. Either way we will be fine, but when it comes to Bagley, I feel like we would have lost a lot more games if weren’t for Bagley! Bagley was a big part of Duke being able to be so close to a final four in that game against Kansas. And he contributed to chemistry issues. I wouldn't say no to Hampton because everyone is different, however it could hurt us next season.

We needed Bagley. Rj is one of those we would love to have you but we dont need you type of deals ( 2019/20.) Kid is talking about waiting until 2 to 3 weeks before school start to let a team know if he is reclassifying or not. Then we would have to wait to make sure it is cleared by the NCAA. IMO If he comes to duke great but if not o well.If RJ comes I wouldn’t say no either obviously. Bagley was amazing. Don't confuse good positive contributions with Duval's chemistry issuesAnd he contributed to chemistry issues. I wouldn't say no to Hampton because everyone is different, however it could hurt us next season.
Oh Bagley certainly helped, and was a great player, it just seemed to me that him and well, really all 4 freshman just didn't like playing with one another. I didn't mean I didn't like Bagley or what have you it's just, him and the whole team never really clicked. Which is why I said he contributed. But yeah, with RJ waiting that long, it means the rest of the guys will almost be ready and in their roles, and if he does come it could create another disjointed team.If RJ comes I wouldn’t say no either obviously. That whole team had chemistry issues man. I loved watching Bags play and everything but, it doesn't mean everything was kosher within the team, and you could kinda tell it wasnt.Bagley was amazing. Don't confuse good positive contributions with Duval's chemistry issues
Yea mainly because Carter wanted to be the focal point of the offense. That whole team had chemistry issues man. I loved watching Bags play and everything but, it doesn't mean everything was kosher within the team, and you could kinda tell it wasnt.
Certainly didn't help. Neither did Bagley and Trent's allergies to defense lo!.Yea mainly because Carter wanted to be the focal point of the offense.
Some posters just don’t understand basketball very well. I gave up a while ago.First: Complain about depth
Second: Tell 5 Stars NO THANK YOU! Go to our rivals
Glad K is the coach and not certain posters!
Kinda weird. After this year, give me as many shooters as are willing to commit. We'll figure out distribution of minutes when we get there.First: Complain about depth

Bagley was the furthest thing from the problem in 2018.
IMO that team had the talent, but what made them not one of the elites was...
1. Ducal came in as the #1 pg in the class and he never performed close to that. I get why guys leave after 1 year but he was not a OAD caliber player. He also had maturity issues.
2. Grayson shot poorly pretty much all year and never got better after his sophomore year.
3. Trent took too many plays off.
If it weren’t for having 2 elite bigs, that was an average Duke team at best.
I agree.Bagley was the furthest thing from the problem in 2018.

Bagley took some slack for his defense. But I feel like Bagley was playing defense out of position a lot due to people blowing by our guards. That's tough for an inexperienced player to adjust to. He would have been even better on this year's team.
