That is ridiculous. Did he really ask us if he could come in this weekend and we told him..no thanks, just come in next weekend? Apparently to keep him away from Ole Miss on their big weekend? That worked out well.

I knew Yancy was claiming that Robinson had swapped his OM visit to this weekend against the MSU staff's wishes.

I have not heard that he dropped yall. Is this coming from MSU boards?

I look for a huge Robert Elliot type **** storm if he really changed visits.

Yancy posted a couple hours ago that Robinson switched his visit to OM to this weekend. He didn't say Robinson dropped State from what I just read.

like he did on the uniforms. I wonder what he will come up with?

"Oh??? Y'all were talking about DAMIEN Robinson??? I thought y'all were talking about Delmon Robinson."

He could have changed it to this past weekend but the staff wanted to get him here this weekend instead. That blew up in their face.

because he was, without question, the most important recruit left on the board for us and means another year of signing no top rated OL.

I don't have f'n access to UM's premo **** (stupid MFer office co-worker hides his passwords like a flaming *****). I have to rely completely on how the UT poster interpreted the UM Scout info.

regardless of when he visited OM. That makes no sense especially considering we let Eulls change to visit this past weekend. Something doesn't pass the smell test on this story.

The theory put out there was that maybe State was trying to keep Robinson from going to OM's big recruiting weekend. If true that's pretty damn retarded.

unless he commits on his visit to Oxford, which is highly unlikely. Obviously, there was a problem with scheduling, but I don't think anybody has reported that being a deal breaker.

and that is what I said didn't pass the smell test. Now if he was asking to come to State when nobody else was going to be there and then go to OM on their big weekend THEN I could understand us telling him we didn't want to do that but last weekend would have been the absolute best time to have had him on campus given all the other big recruits were there then.

As I said, Yancy never said he dropped MSU.

He said MSU wanted him there on the same weekend as Eulls (I assume this weekend), but he wanted to come to OM with Coleman this weekend.

I seriously doubt he has dropped MSU.

It is going to get funny.

I think he ended up in Starkville as unofficial and is still coming this upcoming weekend as official. Not positive though.

I went to two... didn't need much research

vandy has the 40th, 84th, and 101st ranked OL committed already..

Southern Miss has a JC commit with offers from Miami (the U that is) and AZ along with the 31st and 88th ranked OL in the country...

so far we have the 102nd

I'm waiting on a Robinson committ to the plantation any day... that's just what I've become used to regarding OL recruting over the years...suckage...thank God for Balis and OL coach dude... and good play calling

that USM has been to bowl games 12 out of the last 13 years. So they are not a weaker program than us.

Vandy? Did Vandy lead the conference in rushing? Obviously not, since we did, as previously stated. So we are clearly recruiting better linemen than them. And I said consistently, not just this year.

How about this, you just admit you are a drunk moron who posts out his *** without knowing a goddamn thing about what he is talking about, and I'll accept that.

our OL recruiting at this point is a 17'ing joke...

should it be where UT, BAMER and UF are?.....no

but should we have more solid commits than USM and Vandy?.... good God man..

you are serioulsy putting USM's recruting abilty above ours at this stage and Vandy's?

you need to start up a new website that allows less wool than the pack...

"abandom all hope....forever"

It just goes to show you that rankings don't mean ****!! Vandy sucks on the OL compared to ours and USM has a LONG history of bowl games. USM is a better program right now but we are catching them from a perspective standpoint. If we go to 12 consecutive bowl games then we'll have better recruits. We won 5 frickin' games last year and have been to ONE bowl game in a decade.

And saying that Vandy and USM are bringing in better OL recruits than we are after our OL class is about 1/4 finished and Vandy has 2 2-stars and 1 3-star and USM has 3 2-stars and 2 3-stars, means you don't know crap about recruiting.

they have been to a bowl game 8 years in a row, 12 out of the last 13 years. How on earth are they not currently a better overall football program than us. Do you really think Croom would have ever beaten them? We might have beaten them this year, but seriously, USM is a damn good football program.

Vandy does suck on the offensive line. They finished 12th in the conference in total offense. They were 12th last year, behind Croom's team even. How can they be any good on the line, they can't move the freaking ball.

You made a ridiculous statement, I called you out on it, you can't defend it. That's it.

You can argue about whether recruits should rather go to a good CUSA program or a (1) bad (2) mediocre, (3) bad but improving, or (4) mediocre but improving SEC program (I think MSU is No. 4 at this point), but just saying USM has a better program lacks context.

In the Croom years, I would assume USM had better teams, but even with a ****** Head coach and OC, MSU beat the CUSA's best team with defense alone. And since the 8th or 9th best team in the SEC seems to relatively consistently beat the best CUSA team (don't know the record, but it seems like SEC wins usually), it seems reasonable that the 10th or 11th best SEC team in many years would be a competitive team in the CUSA.

To answer your question, USM is not a better football program b/c in their best years, they go to Memphis to end the season. Croom managed to banish state's football program to the wilderness, but a decent coach and smart out of conference schedule still puts USM's absolute ceiling within reach for MSU more or less every year.
