did you hear this? I've heard nothing like that. However, it's pretty obvious that he has failed to win a spot in the OF. I don't expect him (as well as a few others) to be back. That's how SEC baseball is these days, though. It's produce or move on. It sucks, because he seems like a good teammate and person.
The problem with transferring after your sophomore year, you can't go juco and you have to sit out a year if you go D1 .So you have to just about go D2. There were rumors last summer about the Canadians transferring. It's also a numbers game ,Cohen thought several more players would go pro and they didn't and so you have a lot of extra players.
I could see rhe Canadians and several redshirts leaving, but that's just a guess.
I could very well see the Canadians leaving but I think Robson would be crazy to leave. I think he likely starts in center next year. I don't see Hann (spelling?) playing much more next year. The IF will be crowded next year.
I just think that our recruiting is getting to a consistent top 10 level where we are going to be bringing guys as good or better than him in every year. We've finally gotten to a point where it's sink or swim, which is a good thing.
In SEC play, there is a certain number of players you can dress out, I think it's around 27, but I could be totally wrong and I guess he didn't make the dress out roster for that SEC series.
I think they both have had enough chances. Thye simply aren't getting it done. They are a combined 2 for 26 (.077). These late game at-bats need to go to Humphreys and Garner.
