You'd be "whining" too if you have fans of the other team throwing crap at you, and your star player being pushed into the stands. I believe that player ended up catching the winning TD. Karma.

There is no room on the sidelines there. That stadium was poorly built.
In 1939.

"1939- In the first game was played in Township Stadium the Maroons beat Sparta 19-13. The stadium was officially dedicated later that year prior to the game with Cathedral, which ended in a 0-0 tie."

The turf came later.

When I played there, it was a cable wire on the sideline.

Man up!

(I;m kidding. But Althoff got penalized 30 yards for having ****** rented facilities,We are building a new field on campus now after 50 years.)

Wikileaks just reported Derek Leonard has incriminating video on the referee crew "working" the Althoff game.

Normally, I'd like to lose to the champ. But I want an equally talented Phillips team to have a fair shake to kick rochester's tail.

I mean, if they don't commit cheap penalties, take cheap shots, and have fans so terrible they get taken out by the cops they may have a shot. Althoff, both the team and their fans, were off the charts terrible, and were sent home like they deserved to be. Bu-bye

The actions by some fans were awful based on what the game commentators said. I believe the descriptions to be 100 percent true. Unacceptable and embarrassing.

By the players, there was no cheap play. That sideline incident was a result of action on the field of play. As you saw, the facilities are unsafe - but a player was not the cause of that.

How Leonard talked them into moving the ball 30 yards is incredible. How much time on the field he was allowed was inequitable. The holding call on the interception that would have ended the game ... it seems only Althoff holds, I just did not see an even standard.

The Althoff player pushed the Rochester kid towards the bleachers when he was clearly out of bounds. It absolutely, 100% was his fault, and he should've been kicked out of the game.

And Althoff has had a similar amount of penalties in many games this year. That's not bad refs, that's bad coaching.

I wasn't at the game however one of the game recap videos (I think a Rochester news station) show the play up close. It was not a cheap shot by no stretch. I was a little disappointed in the kids team mates for not stopping his momentum and protecting him on a very very very very small sideline. Had one of his players caught him and held him up this would be a none issue.

Evidence of dirty play is when Althoff took a shot at Centrailia's kicker on an extra point. A momentum play push (the kid didn't get a good shot) is nothing to be upset about.

From experience most penalties are legit however there are times when things don't seem consistent.

I will conclude with this, if you scored 48 points midway through the third quarter and you never score again allowing a 20 point comeback, the officiating had absolutely nothing to do with the outcome. Good ball clubs have to close out games when you have a 19 point lead late in the game at home.

Did you watch? This ... was off. There was nothing they could do without a flag. I can't say everything was antiseptic clean, but it was crap video feed. There was no equability.

Watch the 2:50 mark and say that's cheap. Last touched clear of of the sideline and he could have turned the corner.

And the Rockets commentators explain perfectly, Derek and and received. And he wanted to kid kicked out.

I'll say no more.

It's the 4:50 mark the hit is a 15 yard penalty at best and no more. Receiver was hit in the white but there was nothing malicious about it.
