As bad as I hate to say this, if Croom comes back next year I would not be surprised it Rocky is the OC, and we once again promote a GA to assitant coach. In fact I would bet that Rock is the OC/RB coach, and Brent Morgan is promoted to QB coach. My reasoning is who in there right mind would come here as OC for one year? That is why Bryne needs to go ahead and pull the trigger on Croom.

I think the full court press has to be put on Al Borges. And Croom has to hand him the keys to the offense. I don't know as many names and possibilities that are out there as some of you may, so let me know who may be better.

I'm really just saying whoever the best available realistic (or unrealistic - 17it) candidate is, go get him, don't take know for an answer, and pay as much as we can possibly pay to get him.

I like Croom, but clearly this is his last and only chance. If you do this, and it doesn't produce instant and positive results, then you go to the next stage.

I dont want us pulling in a good OC while Crxxm is around. Rocky would be good or anyone that would suck as bad as Wxxdy so we will be forced to clean out the whole staff.

The absolute best hire as OC would be Gus Malzahn, his offense damn near put up a 1,000 yds last against UTEP, plus he would get under Nutt's skin. If we must keep Croom due to economics, then he should demand that Croom hires Gus and turn this offense over to him. If we can pony up the $$ and get Croom out of here then lests hire Graham at Tulsa and tell him to bring Malzahn

This crap has gone on long enough. The man is not going to change and frankly I don't think he deserves any more chances to do so. I've said it before we are a sec program and should not have a offense rank in the 100's for past five years if the Head coach can't realize that after the 2nd or 3rd year and make changes than the man is a idiot.

vs Tennessee at Scott Field, he literally ran the same play up the middle 13 times in a row. All for 3 & outs I think. So that spanned multiple series. Sitting in the student section behind the Tennessee bench, I could witness the Vols laughing at us.

I can still hear Hank Flick saying "that was Galloway the ball carrier".

If it was a well known coach like Spurrier or Bowden that has connections but Croom is not someone you would want your name associated with. Our choices if Croom stays is someone like Rockey who has experience as a coordinator, someone who doesn't have a high profile job like Borgues or a young position coach who just wants coordinator experience.

Our best hope is Croom resigning like a man but that won't happen since his ego is so damn big. I think Croom will be here until we fire him and then he will try to piss on us in the media. As bad as Bama has ever been to us raiding the state for the better recruits, beating the **** out of us with a very onesided overall history, they really screwed us by taking Shula over Croom since LT was so lazy that he thought he must be a great coach to be considered by Bama.

That dumbass didn't think about the fact it was like a month before the season and he was like their 10th choice to a school that was on a REAL PROBATION. Honestly we lost like 4 overall scholarships and no bowl his first year. Bama had a hell of alot more problems.

you can't run anything with an offensive line this bad and below average QBs. We have bad players or they are poorly coached or likely a combo of the two.

I was there too, in the student section...the final was something like 49-7 (we had a pick 6)...it was one of the first State games I had ever been to...having said that, I have no problem with Croom being fired immediately and Rockey being named interim coach until a new coach is found.
