I will also comment on something that has largely gone undiscussed in this thread:

Leaking a SCOTUS decision is UNHEARD of. Where are all the people talking about destruction of norms and institutions? Threats to our democracy? Seems like a sterling example of that right here.
News flash… libs never cared about norms.

How can people on the left say this is an attack on a woman's right to choose when they can't define what a woman is? So, why are they so angry when women may not exist? Not as the word woman anyway. They will have to change all of the references of women/men and now term us all possible birthers. There is no male or female reference anymore.

I wonder who the next attention ***** (previously defined male) will be that will come forward bragging they had an abortion.

Take your pick. Regardless of what side you are on, the side will accuse the other of doing what they are guilty of as well. That’s what politics have become.
Ok so I pointed out a specific post that was completely senseless, and your response was to me to say I am doing the exact same thing. Since you cannot do that, you go broad brush. Of course there are crazies and idiots on both sides. Does this mean you actually do agree the guy you defended is a window licking moron then?

Only if you admit to being one as well since you can’t have a discussion without calling someone a window licking moron.

That’s all well and good until the law (like the one in Texas) says you will face life in prison if you travel to another state to have an abortion.
If I lived in Texas and followed an individual who lived in Texas to Oklahoma and killed him/her and came back to Texas I would face life in prison or death too. No difference except death penalty.

Of course I can have a discussion but as you just did, lie about the “pot meet kettle” thing, I’m gonna go right back to calling it as it is in this case. No regrets at all. I’ll just sit back and watch you and your friend talk yourselves in circles. It was a god awful take

Extremist Republicans are going to send this country into another civil war if they keep up with trying to revert this country back to the 1800s. What's next for y'all? Gay marriage? Interracial marriage? Women voting? Bringing back segregation laws, slavery?

Y'all want to the USA to be like some ******** third world country like Iraq? Well congratulations, you just got one step closer!
Not true because pacifist liberals are afraid of guns and don't own any.

And I called it as I see it. Be proud for setting the country back decades. Maybe if your lucky, African Americans and women will lose the right to vote next. And you can have “your” country again just the way you want it.

This thread is about as expected....liberals will defend to no end their ability to kill an unborn child. If that is taken away in the slightest extent, they go full bore ballistic.
We defend the right for a woman to make her own choice for what’s the best for her and her family. There is a big difference in that and the nonsense you posted.

It’s going to be awful. People will be non-stop talking about it incessantly for the next 20 election cycles. It will be all consuming for some. Just completely exhausting. It was much better when it was “settled” that way 90% of people STFU about it. It sucks, frankly.
I agree.

I would add that we as a country better hope nothing happens to any of the SCOTUS justices before the final decision is published.

If that were to happen, I do not believe we would have seen anything like it. After that, all hell will break loose.

Ah ok without even knowing who I am or whether on a righty or a moderate, you already know I’m a woman hater and racist which neither is under discussion. You’re just like that other guy: a real piece of ****. Goodbye

That is the real issue here.

But what can you expect when U.S. Senators threaten Supreme Court Justices (looking at you Schumer of New York). During confirmation hearings liberal Democrat law makers insult, lie and attempt to destroy anyone who may oppose their beliefs.

The respect for our laws and court is being eroded by the liberal Democrat Party. And that started with Bork and has only gotten worse over the years. They do not want opposite views and they will even attack institutions like the Supreme Court to destroy thought they do not agree to.

So we have someone releasing the "draft" in an attempt to change votes. I pray the Justices opposed to Roe v Wade can hold with their convictions. This tactic from the left should not go without punishment of the person or persons who broke the trust of our Highest Court.

Like I said, call them like I see them.
Then you’ve exposed yourself as an idiot and terrible person. I like to point out the hypocrisy on both sides but it’s generally a much easier thing to do toward the left because of how awful so many of you are as people. It’s unreal. Moving to block now

As someone with kids who would never consider an abortion I don’t believe the government should be involved and I think it should be a personal choice of the individual. Now please ignore this post and continue arguing
I think the same should be applied to the elderly too

The takeaway from the first 4.5 pages is that “birthing people” isn’t a thing anymore, right?

I actually support that because you are killing an innocent life. I would suggest people who do not agree live in another state.

My company wanted me to move to New York and work in Manhattan but I said no. And I told them I did not want to live in a wacky liberal state. Life is much too short to put up with that. We have the right to move and I have moved many times in my life. I live where I live because I like my state.

By that thought process, should someone who goes to another state to gamble where gambling is legal be subject to prosecution as well? Where do we draw the line?

Let’s be fair. Todays GOP is not even remotely close to the party of Lincoln anymore.

Both parties are absolute garbage right now.
It’s great how the liberals attempt to move the argument away from the real issue and some people just bite and follow along. Your position is partially valid and for another thread, about politics, not about abortion and the invalidity of the Roe decision. I have no clue how a draft opinion gets leaked. That should never happen and is a bad omen for the future. It signals the Court does not even try now to appear apolitical and some activist clerk or staffer (I hope not a Justice) leaked the draft. But, as Alito says in the first few pages, any legal and scientific objective mind knows the Roe decision was one of the most ignorant in the Court’s history.

It will likely make state elections much more important. Could be a good thing. Put the power of the issue back where it should have always been, with the states and their electorate.

No you are arguing a false narrative that abortion will be illegal in America. Ditching Roe v Wade to the ash heap of bad law will not make abortion illegal.

So if a woman wants to kill she can still kill. Just not in states who see it as barbaric and taking an innocent life of a helpless baby.

Now it is illegal to abort an animal or bash a seals head with a baseball bat but you can legally kill a human baby. So women who do not have the sense to practice birth control and realize unprotected sex may end up with pregnancy can still kill the baby in the womb.

Something like 85% of all healthcare costs in the US are spent on the last six months of someone’s life, so I actually agree. I also am a supporter of assisted suicide. The benefits that would result to the rest of society would be tremendous.
One can make a strong argument that the entire worldwide response to COVID was nothing more than a naked attempt by old people to ruin the lives of young people to marginally reduce old people's risk to a disease that wasn't that deadly to anyone who wasn't old or had a significant comorbidity.

The guy is an idiot. All he knows to do is push a caricature of an extreme view toward others and then make fun of them or insult them for what they didn’t say or don’t really believe - of course mixed in with lies

the whole civil war comments were hilarious. IF there were one, he’d be the first one keyboard warrior to hide under a table in the basement for 6 months

We could actually draw the line when a woman spreads her legs in the back seat of daddy's Chevy. She has access to birth control. A woman does not have to get pregnant. That is the real choice.

Schools will hand out birth control pills like candy. Why not teach the girl to go to the school nurse if she wants sex. Think woman think. But the left does not think, they react. Why protect yourself when you can kill the baby in the womb and Uncle Sam will bless your actions and pay for it.

What are the repercussions for the guys? Should child support start at conception then? It's a child, right? I think a woman should have the choice but if you are going to force her to keep a baby, then you damn sure better figure out a way to hold the guys to the same responsibility because currently have none.

And what about rape victims? She didn't choose to spread her legs in the back of daddy's Chevy. What about her choice? Should it be taken away twice?
