In all seriousness, it's always been wild to me that they dropped "Sympathy for the Devil" in 1968.

I believe the reporting on this has played with the quotes from Mick & Keith for effect. The quotes in the rash of articles that have come out yesterday & today are from about a week and half ago. I suspect the question Mick & Keith are responding to with these quotes is more along the lines of, "I noticed that y'all haven't been playing Brown Sugar. Why is that?"...rather than, "Have you dropped Brown Sugar from the set list due to its controversial lyrics?".
