Last year we played an easier schedule. Our linebackers are fast athletes not bulked up linebackers which is one problem. Too much emphasis on speed. Look at Vandy, that guy doesn’t care about speed just players who want to smash your mouth.
I don't know where you're seeing speed in our LB'ers, they are usually running from behind trying to catch up. They're kinda like my old dog, he pursues but isn't fast enough to catch anything.

Lol that’s funny. But to answer your question, they are fast but get sucked up by every fake made. In other words, they get themselves out of position to where even speed isn’t enough for them to recover. A LB’er has to be one of the smartest players on the field. My point still holds, we need prototypical LB’ers.

The run should be the surprise for this team. Where is the dual TE offense, that actually has the te's running routs? Where is the wide open offense? Our TE's are not being utilized to maximum efficiency. You have John Wayne at qb and we have boring play calling. Brohm needs to relinquish play calling and oversee the whole team. Too busy figuring out the next offensive play instead of cussing in a refs ear and making sure English isn't busy standing in line buying a pretzel.

I don’t type this often, but LOL.
That should be a candidate for post if the week.

As regards the substance of the post, it may just be that the OL needs them to stay in and block. We have an injury-prone QB and can’t afford for him to take too many hits.

Not sure why our fans seem to forget this. We haven't seen enough, actually anything that indicates our backup QB's can easily step in. We need to hit on the quick hitting plays like screens and not depend on Slough running the ball.

It's kind of hard to throw to your TE's if you need them to block...

The easiest way to get hurt in football is be timid. I’ve seen it numerous times when I played. Shough curls up in the fetal position instead of trying to escape pressure and make a play. It’s the only thing I have against him, one he’s a big boy and should act like it. Nobody’s asking him to run QB draws or anything. Also on 4th and 1 it should be QB sneak until they stop it. Idk why coaches make things harder than they have to.

I see him move in the pocket- Tyler doesn’t just give up on plays. He’s also scrambled for yards when necessary. He’s not slow. But he’s not Dave Ragone (a human tank) either. I want his arm, not his legs, in the game.

Maybe you misunderstood me. First Im talking the majority not occasionally. When pressure comes he doesn’t fight much to avoid the sack. Maybe he’s been told to do so by JB idk, but it’s fact. As big as he is he should be like Josh Allen imo. I like him a lot lot more than last year’s QB though.

Yeah, he’s probably been instructed. I agree.
