Louisiana was taken away from him until the LSU crew left for 247Sports. Now he's back over there covering their site.

If he covers LSU's camps and doesn't cover State's in June, I think it's clear what's going on. Doesn't appear to be in or on his way to Starkville for camps this week.

But seriously, who might replace Steve? Someone who lives closer to Starkville would be nice.

Gene didn't stop Steve from getting him fired from Scout so I doubt that would go well for them. Short makes a lot of sense. Consistency in the competence department may help through the transition.

perfect example of the peter principal at work that i've ever seen. rosebowl is an idiot and the worst informed "scout" of them all. yancysmack asside, rosebowl in recent yrs has been consistently wrong and i agree has hurt msu in some instances. scout promoting him is beyond puzzlingto me. in an effort to say something nice, at least he uses more or less proper gammar. reading yancy just hurts sometimes.

While Ping Pong may be a very fine man, the Tiger football broadcast is far from top notch! He and son can get off on a tangent and you have no idea what the heck is happening in the game. They talk like father and son at home watching the game on TV. I guess it does provide a small amount of entertainment, because I do laugh a lot.
