It was a very entertaining game last night between the Tigers and Wildcats as the Tigers used
two key turnovers by the Wildcats to post an important SMC win in the opener....I was impressed with Hooper Thomas and Marcus Stamey tonight on both sides of the ball as both guys came to play....Don't remember the Tigers turning over the ball tonight which was also a big factor in the game....Andrews led 14-12 until about 2 minutes to go in the half when the Tigers scored on a beautifully thrown pass from Luke Steward to Thomas who made a great catch for the go ahead TD for the Tigers...On the next possession, Thomas intercepted a Wildcat pass, and ran it back to the Andrews 1 yard line where the Tigers scored on the next play to take a 26-14 lead to the half....The Wildcats to their credit did not fold, and came back to cut the lead to 26-21, but Steward again connected with Hooper for another big pass play, and Rosman's Logan Powell picked up an Andrews fumble deep in Tiger territory, and returned it for the game clinching TD, the Tiger defense kept the Wildcats at bay the rest of the way as Rosman secured a 46-27 SMC win tonight in Rosman.....Best game that I've seen the Tigers play since Coach Stack took over....I will say that the Wildcats may be small in number, but they look like a team that is on the rise....Good size up front and numbers 1, 2 and 3 are all playmakers who scored tonight against the Tigers....If a lot of these guys are returning next year, Andrews may surprise some folk in the coming years....

Overall it was a fun game to watch tonight.

Good luck to the Wildcats, and congratulations to the Tiger players and coaches on the win!

Roar Tigers Roar!
