Stratton is in there somewhere. Somebody said Reed starts Sunday. If true, who is the other starter? Anybody know? I believe Cohen said last night Routt was a still a couple of weeks away from throwing. Girodo? Jones? He said Whitney is done, I believe.

I'd like to see him throw Jones, Stratton, and Reed. Anybody have a guess on this?

I took it to mean he was pissed at Whitney for some reason and that's why he couldn't send him back out. If that's the case, I don't really get it.

I thought someone posted somewhere Routt is supposed to have another MRI.

And why won't we give Watson any significant innings?

here is what Cohen said...
“I don’t know if we can put him back out there and give him another
start knowing what we know. And that’s tough, it’s tough on our coaching
staff. Because we really want it to happen for him, it just never has.”
Routt had an MRI but is a week or two away.

he's not been any worse in his last couple of outings than Graveman. Put him out there with some consistency and give him a chance.

Knowing that Routt is out and knowing that it won't be Whitney.

I think we will sort of get the answer tonight by who doesn't pitch.

Others: Corey Collins, I think CC Watson, maybe Luke Bole, maybe Chad Girodo, I think it may be a longshot because of how he pitched against USC, but maybe even Greg Houston. He may switch Graveman to Sunday or something like that as well.

But as I said, my first guess is the same as yours- Devin Jones, Chris Stratton, and Caleb Reed.

because Whitney has been brought in as a relief pitcher. Starting is totally different. Whitney has been more successful as a starter than he ever has as a reliever.

At the same time, I don't know what Whitney is or isn't doing to piss off Cohen.

Also, I agree on Kendall Graveman. I just don't think he is a starter. I think he is much more effective coming out of the bullpen.

I think his strikeout to walk ratio really worries Cohen as far as starting him. At the same time, I thought he did a pretty good job in the Governor's Cup.

I actually wouldn't be against starting him again, though. His ERA has been pretty good for a freshman.

Looks like our first guess might be wrong.

I'll guess Girordo now. Bad move in my opinion, if correct.

Routt returns for the Tennessee series

Reed is the starter for Friday night, Stratton for Saturday and Graveman for Sunday (unless Graveman has to throw in relief before then)
