Did this last week before this game, got about what you'd think... probably a lot of people going with who coaches their team. But, after today, would your answer still be the same?<div>
</div><div>Who is the best COACH? Who is getting the job done on the field? Who gets the most out of their players? Who is making better decisions?</div><div>
</div><div>Why is it the same, why is it different? Put why. I'm not doing it trying to feed off the emotion of a rivalry win, just makes you think about it more.</div>

I think somewhat, he is piggybacking on Corky Palmer's success, but I still think they are still doing more with less... compared to us and OM. Bianco recruits loads of talent and coaches good hitting... and usually wins recruiting battles and wins games, but has a hard time delivering in big contests (not just in Postseason)... Cohen recruits really well, but I feel has no identity on offense. He coaches an overly aggressive baserunning game and defense, while coaching almost passive hitting (relying heavily on walks, HBPs, and never encourages guys to "swing away") while trying to play small ball (tons of bunting and hit and runs). I think that creates timidness and confusion. However, Cohen's teams have played VERY hard, have gotten better since he got here, and have had postseason success last year. I still don't think we have come anywhere near our potential with our teams, though.<div>
</div><div>None of the other coaches listed are anywhere near the top in the conversation. </div><div>
</div><div>However, if you ask me who does the best with pitching, it will be Butch Thompson, hands down. I was ecstatic when he arrived and our numbers have done nothing but improve since he got here. </div>

Although it was a tough call. But from a pure coaching standpoint, you have to look at his accomplishments over many years. DSU never takes a year off, always in contention for postseason beyond the GSC tourney. National championship, the list goes on and on. It's just hard to argue against him with any of the others just yet. Bianco is good, but his postseason accolades have to improve before I would place him above Kinnison as a pure, all-around coach.

from Cohen to Bianco.

Anyone who changes their choice based upon twoweeks worth of games has lost their mind.

.... I think if they're really the best coach, your position on them doesn't change, win or lose.<div>
</div><div>But I do think people usually go for a biased choice at first until they're kind of forced to look at it closely. It's just interesting to me to see that.</div><div>

What State82 said, along with Kinnison being family with me I know his dedication to the game. Whether he was family or not, I believe he can teach kids how to hit better than anybody.

Just used that example to make my point. I know only Cohen ans Bianco on that list. Would be unfair to vote without some due diligence.

I did not confirm it, but I read online somewhere that Cohen has won 8 out of 10 SEC series against Bianco......if this is true, most of Cohens wins have come while rebuilding at Kentucky and State, if true, no way can you say Bianco is the better coach.

In conference series, Cohen was 3-1 vs Bianco while one was at McNeese State and the other at Northwestern State. Then Cohen was 2-0 vs Bianco when Cohen was at UK and Bianco was at OM. MSU Cohen is 3-1 vs OM Bianco in conference series. So Cohen is 8-2 head-to-head vs Bianco. I don't know the exact record for individual games.
