My mother has vertigo and she has those types of spells also. Hopefully that's all it is.

I certainly hope everything turns out ok for Coach Williams! At the end of the day basketball is just a game, and people and their health and feelings are way more important than a game!

When I heard about it, that was my first thought. Hopefully nothing more serious.

Hope all is well with Roy and it was only something minor!!!

The announcers pretty much said it was vertigo. BC gave the Heels a good game though but just couldn't hold UNC off after HOF Coach Roy Williams went to the locker room. Wishing him well and hope to see him on the side lines Sunday verses Pitt. Good job by Coach Robinson in taking over. I saw a good part of the game and the refs were pretty bad against UNC until the Heels finally took control of the game OFC

Just reviewed the THR thread on K's hospitalization. The following posters made light of K's medical condition:

Pureroll
uncfan in ky
notashelbyfan
T-square
HeelFan58
HeelBilly50
jah420
Ozheelfan
goheels653

In addition, coryfly had some very insightful psychoanalytic (emphasis on "anal") observations with which Archer2 concurred.

Meanwhile, UNC was really lucky to beat one of the worst major conference basketball teams in the country. BC had some chances late but there's a reason they're winless in conference play. They missed some important free throws and had many costly turnovers.

Not sure what the deal is with UNC. They don't look good at all.

Don't slap my back. If K fell like that those bastards would be saying immediately that he was doing it to not claim a win. You know it, I know it and yea, they know it. F#^% that entire board save maybe 3 of em.

They're UNC fans. It's what they do. But that doesn't mean I want to be like them.

Im not going to begin looking past UVA cuz I'm stoked as hell for that game, I sense a special one brewing. But I tell ya what, I truly can't wait to beat some a$$ in that dome yet again. The way we drive with the shooters spread coupled with Brandon becoming an all around beast I feel pretty good. They can destroy us down low and have the advantage on paper but I personally like the match ups. Meeks loves having Career days vs us tho

No they didn't and haven't the past few games. Paige is really struggling right now.

I love this thread. The difference between the UNC fan base and the Duke fan base is shown through this thread. Here we all with well wishes for Roy and most UNC faithful continue to bad mouth K and his back injury in 95 as well as his sickness this year.Get better soon Roy hopefully the trashy fans that follow tar heel ball grow up.

Aren't we glad we are Duke fans. No sane fan of any program should make light of injuries to opposition players or an illness of a coach EVER. dukiejay I don't feel any of us are patting ourselves on the back in this situation although I do understand the point you are trying to make. THR especially feel they are entitled and that is just a shame. The way they raked Coach K over the coals for missing the G.T. game is ridicules and their mods should deleted the thread if they had any integrity at all and I'm calling them all out. Mike Irby should especially understand this with his illness which we are support him in getting well. I have no idea if any of them will read this thread or this post but I guarantee you if they do they will find a way in their arrogant and ignorant state of minds to undermine it and twist it around. Just about every one of them have the maturity of a 12 year old. And by the way they still managed to whine about the officiating up until the end. They should have beaten BC by 30 points even if the ref were paid off. The most talented team in the country and the most underachieving team. But they are Tar Heel fans. They can't help it. It's their nature and I'm tired of blessing their hearts because they don't deserve it. I really despise their fans. I really don't want to see them score another point in any sport ever again and it's not their players or coaches it's their arrogant and ignorant fan base. One of their fans made a quote that there is a fan over here that is obsesses with UNC. Let me set this straight right now that I am not obsessed with UNC I am however obsessed with wanting to see them lose in everything and always will be. By the way. Vertigo is a serious thing. I have an aunt who suffers from it and seldom leaves her house. Proud none of us here is making light of HOF Coach Roy Williams. OFC.

I didn't think we had a chance to beat them. I KNOW we can beat them now, AMILE or no AMILE .

I am not sure if you mean the Cavs or UNC. I think you mean UNC and I actually agree that they can be beat by Duke. I would love to just split with them to be honest. I am starting to think that should BI play really well, including rebounding, and DT has a steady game without turning it over too much, overall very good shooting...no long dry spells, Duke can hang a loss on them.

Virginia is a bit of a different animal. I just do not like the match ups. Brogdon and Gill are really good, they play fantastic defense, usually they control the tempo, it is hard to speed them up. Finally, it is a guy like Perrantes who does his best Tyus Jones imitation with killer trey balls, especially late. So, I am thinking that a W against UNC is really needed, not just wanted.
I do hope Coach Roy is okay. He may not stay hydrated enough during games, he is not a young man in this stressful profession. Coaching can kill you, even in the private high school level you can get pulled in too far and lose your cognitive balance about what is really important in life at times.

There really is no comparison between the 2 fanbases. The REASON abc'ers exist is , primarily , due to unx's FANS. My disdain for all things unx revolves around their ATHLETIC programs and ,like I said , their fans. Certainly don't want any of 'em to have health issues. You cannot say the same thing about them. Were it K , their social media would freakin' crash with memes an' jokes about "fake back injuries" yada yada yada. Worst fans ever. Everyone else plays for second. Check this out. And these are THEIR fans...

It is amazing that the fans of a school with systematic academic fraud would revel in someone elses poor health. The way they talk about K is horrendous. Not one person here would ever say something about another humans health issue. The entire UNC "family', from the university, administrators, alums and fans are without a doubt the most inbred imbeciles on the planet. They continuously throw stones despite the fact that they have one of the worse scandals in NCAA history hanging over their heads. F em all.

Glad to see Roy seems to be okay. A rivalry is a piss-poor excuse to hate someone badly enough to enjoy seeing them suffer physically.

I'd just like to point out that I hoped Roy would get better before he was sick.

I'd also like to point out that I'm hoping for his recovery w/o having to do what some people here have done, pointing out how crass they are at that other site.

Yes, I'm one of those people you're referring to, and proudly so.

I wish Roy the best regarding his health and hope he gets well. I can't help but laugh at his description of the problem though lol..

"Every attack that I’ve had is when I jerk my head quickly, and I call them rocks, because my head’s full of rocks – rocks in my middle ear, one of the pebbles gets out of the alignment, and it bounces around on your inner ear, and that’s what causes the imbalance.”
