Brown, Young, Monangai, Salaam. Our RB depth is deep with four guys who are all legit first or second string quality. In games where our OL matches up favorably, I think we are going to be very run heavy. Cirrocca and Schiano certainly like to pound the football, and as we know, Greg is as turnover averse as any HC out there. With our young QB, NW’s question mark DL, and our deep stable of RBs, I expect a 30+ carry day by RU. I’d have no problems with a 27-14 W where we rush for close to 200 yards and dominate TOP something like 35 minutes to 25 minutes. That’s what I expect next weekend.

I believe the margin will be wider. I think we run on them and our D creates all sorts of problems for them.

Any word on Salaam? He look bigger/stronger? iirc my thought on him so far was that he went down on first contact rather quickly. Maybe I am wrong in that.. but teh first three are solid when healthy.

I'd love to see some real swing passes and screens with good timing so the RB can get some momentum before contact... no going backwards or stopping to catch the pass.. that sort of thing. Just a tiny difference of maybe 3-3 yards where the pass is thrown and caught. That tiny adjustment along with execution.. ie.. catching it.. being in teh right spot.. can make A HUGE difference. backers would have to track the RB well rather than blitzing or covering a zone getting in theway of another route. HUGE difference.

I wonder if they will use Rochelle in the backfield like they did last year. Haven't heard a lot about him this summer.

I have not read about Brown all summer but in the one interview with him, I believe he said he was looking forward to getting back on the field. I took that to mean he was still not practicing during the first week of practice.

Rochelle is a WR now and doubt that he will be coming out of the backfield unless it's a jet sweep or similar play.

Getting Young back is important. Especially if Wimsatt is more competent in the short game. Aaron is a reliable RB pass receiver. We’ve missed that. He also blocks very well.

His game is complementary to Brown’s. Different skill set.

I think we are going to be run heavy all season.
