It was ugly as hell, but still a huge win. it is good to see them be able to play bad games against good teams and still pull out wins. A year ago they would have been blown out in a game like this
There is a 2 game gap between the 4th place team and the 11th team. San Antonio and Portland are in a virtual tie at 4th/5th. Houston, Phoenix, and Utah are one game back of them at 6th/7th/8th. Oklahoma City is a half game back of those 3 at 9th. New Orleans and Memphis are half a game back of Oklahoma City at 10th/11th.
That's an 8 team log jam fighting for 5 playoff spots down the stretch. Barring injury (knock on wood), I like the Grizzlies' chances to not only be in that mix but be near the top of that pile considering that they've had to play their way up into that group and some of those teams have fallen back into that group after starting off better (see Phoenix).
