No...not the one from the movie. Ran into him in the lobby of the doctor's office yesterday. He was a former military canine who did 9 deployments with the SEAL teams. His mission was sniffing out bombs. His current owner said it's pretty rare for these dogs to come back with all their limbs or even survive as they're trained to sit or lie down when they detect a bomb. Then the bombs go off and them they do.

I believe a dog's deployment is about 120 days. Nine deployments is about 3 years. Hell, he's got 21 years of service.
