Why wasn't that illegal motion against the OSU kicker? He went forward stopped and then backed up and forward again. I know it is a dufflebutt kicker but that still is illegal motion, right? wrong?
is since the kicker is in the backfield, he could be considered to be going in motion, and that should be OK as long as no one else goes in motion at the same time as him.
makes sense similar to a qb in the shotgun resetting plays, but the qb does have to come set before snap. not sure kicker did. Again though, who is going to call something like that on a kicker.
