coming out of Tupelo.

A certain QB may* be looking for a home next fall. Seems that a no vacancy sign may* have been posted at the bayou.

Now wouldn't that be interesting?

'Course I'd rather see him sitting on the bench down there than playing for another rival someplace else.

* Emphasis placed on the word "may".

It's been my opinion all along in the end LSU would cut him, but I thought it would be at least December before they did.

What will be interesting is to see if Croom will take him back.

He sat behind me at the UK game, and was wearing a Kentucky blue shirt. Some how I think he would love for us to offer him, but I don't see it happening. I would like to have him and Russell

He can walk on if he wants and earn a scholarship. I think he'd be a great guy to back russell up

I would take his *** back in a hearbeat. We need good QB's. We need competition and depth at the position. I would love to have Russell and Garrett in the same class. Let 'em compete for the job. Is there a school in the SEC that has a worse depth chart than Lee, Carroll, Relf? How about Henig, Riddell, Carroll? How about Henig, Rutland, Evans? This makes my head hurt.

If it was my decision and he was really wanted, I'd accept him as a greyshirt only.

That way, you are guaranteed of keeping him and Russell a year apart.

stand a turncoat SOB like Garrett. He messed with us and I hope has to beg for a scholarship from State. He deserves no less than Kenny Ashley.......</p>

we could burn Russell's RS, use him as a "secret weapon" one or two plays a game and RS Garrett.

Exactly bobby.

We are not in a position to tell decent players to take a hike. We have committed two marginal QBs from elsewhere. Obviously, Crxxm and company want to sign more than just TR. So, at least sign a decent one.....not another Henig, Rutland, Relf, Carrol, Lee and etc.

I guess my point is, after he did what he did, he needs some type 'punishment' if he comes back.

Personally, and I'd say this even if he signed with Ole Miss.....it is my opinion without Ken Davis, Bumphis, Bean and the other WR (forget his name)......he'd be headed D2-3 or JUCO.

I do think he has potential....but he's far from a SEC starter at this point----in my opinion.

Seriously? What with all the great QBs we sign that would be brilliant. If the kid shows up and is a cancer?...send him packing. Otherwise bring his big, hard-throwing *** to Starkville and thank our lucky stars we struck gold with TWO, count 'em TWO, very good QB prospects.

Don't worry, though. Croom will turn him away out of pride.

a quality QB. Kids make decisions they regret every day and if he wants to come back then we should take him UNLESS we feel that it would somehow jeopardize us with Russell. We can't take a chance on losing a guy that's good who has been rock solid in his commitment to retake a guy that's probably not quite as good and you are not sure what he will do by February.

We are starting a walk on JUCO transfer, and you are wanting to turn away a guy with SEC offers? He turned on the worst offense in the nation to go play for a team that won the national championship a year ago. I can understand his line of thinking. I'd take him back.

Croom should call him and say the offer is still on the table.

"may" have allegedly been displayed by the Hat, but only after having been told that the verbal was going soft. If word got back to Tupelo that serious changes were in the works (Borges) in Vegas, the decision to re-open "may" have allegedly been made in Tupelo, not red stick.

Exactly! Tell a blue chip QB to take a hike when we currently start a walk on qb after 5 years of Croom qb recruiting? Bring him in with Russell. Christ i would have probably done the same thing he did if i was in his shoes. Lets see... learn how to run my *** off to avoid tacklers while winning three games a year or play for a championship caliber team? Which team you think would give you better exposure to the NFL if you could make it? Look if Croom told him to take a hike and it came public I would personally go down to starkville and throw for sale signs in his yard. Croom's pride sucks if it means changing the offense.. but way to go if he runs off a blue chip qb recruit if he comes back?

Do we have to tell every prospect how we see their career unfolding at MSU? Every other SEC school tells them what they want to hear and gets them to sign. Then, sit them on the bench or move them to linebacker. You need depth in the SEC anyway. If you're on the roster, you'll probably see the field at some point.

Not as well as Bumphis and it's debatable which one is the best QB.

bc he no longer had a job there and he was lucky to get paid the salary he was awarded by Auburn. You would believe that, but not something like this. That's funny.
