He has not been convicted of anything. He may not be able to keep his pants on, but that is every guy's problem. I know that there is a civil suit out there but being a Superbowl winning QB makes you a target. If you are going to hold Ben to these standards, the whole leauge needs to uphold them too.

The rest of the league has already been held to these standards, and he's treating Ben no differently. PacMan Jones wasn't convicted, either.

We're not talking about a court of law. It's a code of conduct that his employer expects him to obey. He obviously broke the conduct policy, brought negative light, to himself, his team and the NFL. Therefore he is being punished at his place of work.

Are you saying your boss couldn't punish you at work unless charges were filed against you or unless you were convicted of a crime? Regardless of what you did?

ETA - Yuku acting up or something? I replied correctly 'n ****

Why the hell would a Superbowl winning QB want to go to some small Georiga college town to party in a college bar? He's done this to himself by putting himself in bad situations. Who cares if he hasn't been convicted, he has been accused of this twice now.

****. I don't. Shouldn't he know he is a target? If you know you are a target why get drunk at a bar, go into a restroom with an UNDERAGE girl you dont know by yourself and have your bodyguards keep anyone from going down the hall? He may be not guilty of rape but he is UNBELIEVABLY stupid at the very least. Especially since he had a strike against him already. 17 if you make millions of dollars ask the girl to go home with you. If she isnt worth taking home she isnt worth risking your life fortune (which you made by playing a freaking game".

Sorry, I have no sympathy for someone who continually is @*!%$!* up millions and millions of dollars.

that thinks this is BS is missing the point. He's being suspended for his code of conduct. As someone pointed out, you don't have to be convicted of a crime to get fired at work, do you? Big Ben is at work in the NFL. He did something that the boss thinks is not acceptable. Therefore, he get's suspended. What is hard to follow in that, or BS??

and the NFL suspends players without convictions, this isn't new. I was on Ben's side til I read the witness statements, etc. There's no way to spin it as normal behavior.

Murder kills a man's body. Rape destroys the soul. Ben got what he deserved.

A good example is John Rocker (baseball pitcher). Nothing illegal about what he did, but it tarnished the image of Major League Baseball and the franchise he played for. MLB had a right to suspend Rocker.

Seriously, you're right. Whether he raped her or not (and I've done a 180 and now believe he did), he showed himself to be a pretty sorry human being that night. Starting NFL QB goes into a college bar in a college town and gets underaged girls drunk. Then takes one into the restroom when she's too drunk to even remember exactly what happened while his bodyguard blocks her friends from checking on her. If that's not asking for trouble, I don't know what is. Especially after he'd already had the incident in Vegas just a few months before.

If he did rape her, thenhe isnt getting what he deserved...he deserves much much worse.

But he wasnt even arrested, much less charged.

Asfor your kill a man's body versus destroying the soul crap...stop it. Rape is a horrific thing, yet murderkeeps you from existing. You no longer friggin exist.
