I sent a p.m. to dawgstudent telling him of this earlier. Jimmy Sexton was the one doing the contacting but he declined.

Even though it was time for a change at MSU, I think hiring Stansbury would be seen as a home run hire at certain schools. It is not very often that a school has the chance to hire the all time winningest coach from another school.

He has enough sick leave and vacation pay time that he could work about 6 more months and then have the 25 years necessary. Still may not go anywhere but he has options if he wants them.

Like most of the "clueless," I don't know how much vacation time he has built up or how much they take out of his check for dental insurance.<div>

accrues toward years of service.......With the amount of years he has in and with the generous amount of vacation and sick leave State employees get, he's damn close to 25.........

When I look at Stansbury's career at MSU, I think "we were pretty good overall."
