Rumor on BDJ is that Cecil will come clean tonight about asking for money from MSU*
is that it is a violation for a player, or someone acting on the players behalf, to solicit cash or other benefits.<div>
</div><div>If Cecil comes out and says, "I tried to get money from MSU for myself, not for my son. I have done a horrible thing. Cam did not know about any of this. I did this all for myself, and I am sorry about everything," then he could, potentially, save his son's career. He'd essentially be saying that he wasn't acting on Cam's behalf. If the NCAA agrees, then there's no violation.</div><div>
</div><div>I've gotta say that, if there are tapes, and everyone knows their +%$@!@, then this may be the only option.</div><div>
</div><div>Again, I could be wrong, but that was my reading of the rule.</div>
