and judging by fan loyalty the past two seasons, I can foresee a bunch of invisible bear fans in the Vaught for years to come. You act like student tickets mean anything. State could sell 16k student tickets if they had room to. The idea is to expand as demand warrants. Not just because your capacity is about to be surpassed by a school you feel you are much better than, but have been .500 against in recent years. Given the Tad Pad removal project has been in the works, this stadium expansion is a knee jerk response to falling behind in the Football Arms Race in the state. Say what you want, but it is what it is. It's a ploy to pacify the fan base for another few months, in hopes that Nutt can pull something out of his *** with this team of Freshmens. 15 times of 60k in 9 years really is nothing accomplished. State could have had 60K for about 6 home games the previous 2 seasons, and probably more. We only seat 55 and had over 56k on multiple occasions with standing room tickets sold, and thousands outside that couldnt get tickets. Point is null and void. Winning will help but I don't see that happening this season. Who knows, maybe somebody will transfer in the week before the season kicks off.
