Stans has no other choice.
You can't get rid of one and not the other, can you? We really need the RSS to have any shot at post season play.
They both have already made statements apologizing to the media, what else is there besides running in practice..
I find it interesting that the team wanted to kick off Elgin and to keep the RSS. There is more to this story than you think.
Let's just hope they can just get along and have a good laugh about it...

I really wish everyone who posts things like the bolded text above would share what they know, becauserepeated statements like that with no info really just cause more speculation and rumors. Why not share what the "more" is?

the fight wasn't that big a deal, just another embarrassment. First thing out of the mouth of Duke relativeon Xmas day, "See the State fight".

for the rest of this season, but I'm sure as hell not going to make the drive up for any games. Just tired of all the "what it could have been" thinking.

Not this one incident but I don't think we are done seeing this team act like morons. The season is still young and he has zero control over the asylum. I think this might be the tip of the iceberg and this will not be the last time this team embarrasses the university.

It makes me sick to say that; I love college BB and really enjoy the games, but we need to flush the freakin' toilet and start over. I can swallow losing; I can't tolerate the now-regular embarrassment.

and for anyone to mention "Post Season Play" in the same sentence as this team is holding out way to much false hope. Dee Bost isn't Kobe Bryant.

about the fight. There may have been a good reason to fight, I don't know. If someone does the wrong thing to me, I'll be fighting, and I won't care who's watching. I don't think fighting is something to be embarrassed about just because you fought. There is often good reason to fight. I doubt there was good reason to fight in this case, but I don't know for sure. Every fight I've ever been in has been with my best of friends or even family. Too much togetherness runs tensions high.

It is far more embarrassing to lose the way our team is losing than it is for 2 guys on the team to fight each other.

That is by far the most ignorant post I have ever read on the pack. This should go into "sixpack remembers".

Please tell me this is a joke. There's no reason at all to fight in the stands, unless a terrorist is trying to blow the arena up and you have to stop him. There's also no reason for a coach to allow his team to look like the bad news bears in the stands with wife beaters. I'm so embarrassed by this team. I have always thought it was stupid to root againstyourown team or coach but I am actually considering it. Scott Stricklin has done a great job so far but this will be his biggest test. Ourteam and program are an absolute abomination at this point.

turning Renardo Sidney around. Whether or not that's a lost cause is irrelevant. We have no choice but to try. We put a lot of hot dogs into this picnic. Without him, we'll be middle of the road in one of the worst major conference divisions, ever. With him, things could be really good or really bad. I'll take those chances.

who gives a damn about the fight...everyone here seems to be way too worried about what others do/think........move on, Sidney and Bost coming back are the only chances we have to not get embarrased all year

I'm all for fighting in self-defense, preserving your honor, etc. If somebody came up to me at a basketball game and attacked me, or verbally abused my wife or something like that, I'd probably engage in fisticuffs and wouldn't be embarrassed about it. And that might have been the case here where one player was simply defending himself. That's fine, but that doesn't change the fact that another MSU player started it - it's embarrassing for MSU no matter how you spin it...

in "the family". And throw in the fact that both of y'all still have hope this team could be successful. Wow! Please tell me where you guys live so I can avoid that 100 mile radius for the rest of my life and keep my family safe.

You sound like you've got some pent-upped aggression. Now don't go punch your wife, kid or some small animal. I'm sure you were the type of kid (probably still are) that had a room filled with all those fist holes in the sheet rock from your fits of rage, huh?
