I actually heard the normal guy had some kind of serious surgery. I don't know about his future as PA though.

I want it to be Brian Hadad and I want to be there when we miss a field goal! Please please let it be so...

After putting some thought in to it, I think Strick should pull out all stops to get the guy from the Liberty Bowl. He had a good, neutral voice. He was clear and concise. He also projected his voice very well. I think he would be a good get.

/I feel horrible about the current PA guy. I never got the hate for him.

Sucks that Holmes has had health issues, but I hope I hear "A good, good evening and welcome to DWS at Scott Field.", "Egress", and "Forcing no one, but encouraging all," on next Saturday night.

Hank flick is the bomb. Anything less is failure

Agreed. It's got to be Flick.

I think those of us that grew up going to games in the 80's and 90's have a bit of Hank nostalgia, and I'm not afraid to say it. The occasional awkwardness when his voice cracks in a football game would be more than made up for if we could get him back for basketball too.

That's a pretty narrow-minded viewpoint. Everything we do now is forward thinking, so why go back to what we did 20 years ago? Certainly not because he has a good football voice, because he absolutely does not.

NOOOOOO! For a lot of reasons. If you want a guy who loves the sound of his own voice, who would never say five words when 30 will do, then you should go hire that guy (his name is Chuck Roberts by the way). He's looking for work, though. I've heard he lost his job with university of memphis over some shady business dealings.

Praying for Jonathon. I was trying to remember the old PA announcer at Dudy Noble back in the 80s and early 90s. I think his first name was Terry? and may have been a local radio guy. Didn't he have an illness and stepped down? Anyone know what happened to him?

For basketball, yes; football, not so much. But maybe with a half bowl, the nasal sounds won't escape the stadium so easily.

Terry Oneal (on air name). Sanders was last name.

Unfortunately he passed away in the mid 90's. I don't recall the circumstances.

Wow, I just Googled and read up on him. This is the same guy that was the PA guy for the liberty bowl? If so, he literally plead guilty to a federal judge just a few days after that game.

While I appreciate your sarcasm, I don't appreciate your douchiness. How the 17 was I supposed to know he defrauded Citizens National for 400k?? I thought the guy did a good job running the Liberty PA.

POST OF THE YEAR!!!!!!

first of all, I hate that the new guy is out because of heart surgery.

scott can't screw this up. The atmosphere at both DWS and The Hump have been awful since Flick was replaced!!!!!!
