At the beginning of yesterday's game, my nephew and I were discussing our running backs. We agreed that Perkins was just short of being a feature SEC back. Maybe another step of speed or a little more power would make him that caliber back. We laughed at each other after his TD run in the north end zone. Maybe we were a little wooly at that point, but that was a helluva run.
I told him (early conversation) that Milton seemed to have the vision and speed to be something special. He looked good in the previous game and in mop up play yesterday and I see he's been elevated to no 2. I really think this kid is gonna be a pleasant surprise.
34 seems to have the tools but he needs to learn to head north before he gets caught from behind by a d-lineman or the hole closes. I really liked the way he pulled the Vic Ballard on #22 in the open field. That guy's probably still isn't sure what planet he's inhabiting. Maybe with a little more playing time 34 will prove to a good one.
Not really sure what to think of Griffin at this point. He looks like a beast and is supposed to have the speed. Not sure!
