He really cut back in that last mile too after he had dispatched anyone in the area. But the tv coverage is awesome when they get a side view and you can actually see how impressive their stride is and how fast they are actually moving.Originally posted by legalbeagle123:
Sometimes I still can't quite wrap my head around what those elites are able to do. So fast, but seemingly without effort. Mutai's time today was just ridiculous in those conditions. More impressive IMO than his 2:03:02 in Boston.

----> Still have a goal of breaking 1:30 for a half but gonna have to get a good bit faster. MCF, you're right there man.
* Did 165 miles this month. Has to be a record for me.

As sore today as I've been in years but its the best race I've run in my life.
Saw that online and wanted to sign up for it since god knows I'll be down in BF for Thanksgiving but plans changed. 106 years is impressive, curious what the turnout's like.Originally posted by PTI (pti):

Have you tried the Altras? They hype these as having much more cushioning than your typical minimalist.Originally posted by anthonys735:
As for mminimaist ****. Unless you have a tin of patience forget it.

BTW, someone as injury prone as PTI needs to rethink this barefoot thing. Take it slow. Trust me. I think most suggest 10% of your short runs starting out on grass.

I love running in the cold. Love it. 25 tonight and it felt great BUT my new tights(they're awesome by the way) for some reason almost allowed me to get frost bite on my package. Didn't realize it until about 4 miles in but I was honestly worried.
You guys wear athletic shorts over or under? I was just going comando but I guess I need to add some layers there.
