What do you do when you cannot establish the run against a powerhouse D? You pass it.

what about anything we have seen out of Russel makes you think he does any better. Relf is the better QB. He is a better PASSER too.

putting Russel in was SO smart. Picking up right where he left off against LSU last year. 2 sacks, 2 incompletions, and a pick.

who is throwing 65% for a backup who has done nothing good against a decent team?

Yes, and the Chris Relf of last year would have taken every one of them for a sack, or taken off running. He checked down and completed the throws because our wide receivers 17n SUCK and couldn't get open all night long. There were several plays where Relf, and even Russell late in the game, had all day to throw and NOBODY got open. Throw in several drops when they squeezed in passes, and you have typical MSU production. Mirando blows, Bumphis is a bust, and when we do take a chance downfield our idiot receivers don't even attempt to fight for the ball.

My point was that when the plays were called as passes, he did well. We actually moved the chains when we did. We never established the run, so why remove a QB who is doing well on your pass plays when you're just gonna exchange him for an unproven guy against the toughest defense in the country? It's a stupid move. Really stupid.

The answer is = call more short and intermediate pass plays with Relf.

Panola's ***. 90% of relf's passes are flat passes to the wr and running back. He can't throw downfield and has zero pocket presence. Saying relf is a better passer shows your complete ignorance
