Dr. James Andrews did surgery yesterday to repair a torn labrum. Good luck to a good Bulldog on his rehab and at the combines.

Saw this earlier. I took going to Dr. Andrews as he's got his eyes on the NFL.

He leaves MSU with 11 passing records, and he's was only a couple games away from a few others.

God speed and good luck, Tyler. Couldn't have asked a guy for more than what we got out of him.

I hate that for Tyler. I am sure he would have wanted a chance to redeem himself for last year's bowl game but I would rather see him get healthy than risk getting injured again before the combine.

Looks like with Whitley and Russell out, we will be getting a sneak preview of next year's team.

Only Truth he said is that Tyler didn't fit the style. As far as him being too slow, that wouldn't be too much of a problem if he was in a pro-style offense. Both of them are grade A douchebags.

Only time I met him was at the fan day. I came away extremely impressed with the way he interacted with fans and the kids. He's got a bright future regardless of whether he makes it in the NFL.

Imo, he did redeem himself in the Arkansas game this year to put us in position to go to another bowl game. He played that game after getting injured against bama and knowing it was up to him since Dak would be out.

TR is a helluva man. I wish him the best in any and all endeavors including a shot at the NFL.

He has always been a great Bulldog and did everything we ever asked him to do. And it's a good thing he went to see Dr. Andrews. (I will leave the obvious alone.)

All that said, I would be shocked if he made the combine this year. Labrum surgery is some serious stuff, with tedious rehab and a long recovery.

I respect the way he handled this season....

To be the all-time leading TD passer for an SEC school is impressive. As far as a future in the NFL, I dont think he has one. He has good height and arm strength, he doesnt go thru his progressions very well, he tends to hold the ball too long, and his pocket awareness is not very good.

I am excited for Tyler to get well. He deserves that chance. He gave us all he could.

As for those morons who took shots at him, you need to man up and respond to this thread.

You're asking them to be men... I think you have too much respect for them to even ask that of them**

Seems the gameday-only flamethrowers are nowhere to be seen. Probably too busy putting the finishing touches on their SunBelt head coach (and mascot or two) slash fiction.

A+ high class guy. Think he will be invited to the combine? He's got the size and arm strength

Still no comment from the posters who were bashing him after the Alabama game. Not surprising.

Hate it for Russell. He has been good for the program. Never really fit the system (as discussed through countless threads). Wish him the best.
