I'm pretty surethat we could havescored last night with T. Russell at QB and Reuben Randle & Russell Shepherd at WR. The only teams that have had success (albeit moderate success) against the Saban-coached Bama teams are ones that have a vertical passing game. If you don't at least attempt to throwdown field against them, they are going to creep closer & closer to the LOS and stuff all of yourruns, option plays& dump passes. Their D never felt threatened by the long ball. That enabled their LBs to tee off on the short stuff. Incredibly stupid game-planning by LSU.
but give a defense like Bama a month to prepare for an offense they don't see as much, and you see something ugly.
You see the same with Georgia Tech's offense. They're really tough to deal with with only a week to get ready, but I remember LSU making them look stupid when they had 4 weeks to prepare for them in one of the Peach Bowl games a few years back. Yes, it's still the Peach Bowl.
