Rutgers and Indiana both made moves

Indiana fired their OL coach and run game coordinator, and Rutgers fired their offensive coordinator today. Meanwhile we’re stuck with Jake and JON.

Gleeson’s an intriguing potential replacement. He was highly regarded and Rutgers arguably has less offensive talent than we do.

I have hope with Jake.

None with JON. He should have been gone after the Illannoy debacle last year.

I would agree with that, he partly looks bad because of our defense giving up explosion plays and points, putting the O in a hole.

Every NU coach deserves a full season to prove their chops. OL coaches should get 4-5.

JON has proven to be as bad as many of us feared. Worse, perhaps.

Throw the damned ball deep on offense. Sometimes as designed plays. but preferably when the QB is scrambling.
Throw down the middle to the tight ends.

Blitz on defense. As often as possible.
Never, ever, ever send 3 or fewer pass rushers unles the opponents QB is terrible at throwing the ball.
Have the team watch video of Illinois playing defense.
